Svaret är att WinXP behöver Servicepack 1 för att supporta USB 2.0. Eller du kan ladda ner stödet för den via Windows Update
Längre svar från "Woody´s Windows XP":
Yes, Windows XP does support USB 2.0. No, you shouldn´t use the manufacturer´s drivers unless you absolutely have to. (And even then, I´d think twice.)
USB 2.0 is finally gaining some momentum, due to a rapid decrease in prices and (reasonably) reliable software support.
Windows XP, as originally shipped, includes no USB 2 support. Service Pack 1 contains support for all EHCI (Enchanced Controller Interface)-compliant USB devices. (Check out Microsoft´s dated USB hardware page for details.)
If you install a USB 2.0 hub or device and it doesn´t work, and you aren´t willing to install WinXP Service Pack 1, you should hit the Windows Update site. Run a scan and your USB device will probably be identified - at which point installing the new driver is as simple as a couple of clicks and a short download. In rare instances, Windows Update may not find your new USB 2.0 device. That can happen if you installed the manufacturer´s driver, and the driver gets in the way of Windows Update´s identification routine. If Windows Update can´t find your driver, hit Knowledge Base article Q312370 for instructions on manually downloading the USB driver version 5.1.2600.0. _________________ Jag svarar inte på mailfrågor längre, använd forumet! |
